Made in France
That is why, Anthony, Consultant in 3D printing and watchmaking, has decided to combine the capabilities of 3D printing and the beauty of technical ceramics to produce original and tailor made bracelets in small series for the brand Prysmatik : https://www.prysmatik.fr
His goal is simple: relying on French companies to valorize the made in France know-how . Thus, both resin and ceramic jewels are made thanks to French 3D printing actors, from the choice of the raw material to the finishes, made by tumbling for ceramic bracelet and metallized via the french solution provider Metalliz for the resin one.
A ceramic 3D printing solution designed for small series
In addition to be a French brand, Zetamix show advantages that cannot be neglected by Anthony.
This solution is quite relevant for small series. First, the cost by part is highly inferior by printing Zetamix part than with other technologies, particularly injection molding that needs expensive molds. Furthermore, since Anthony needs to design different shapes and size of bracelet, additional mold would need to be considered if he has chosen injection molding, escalating the production cost by bracelet. 3D printing enables to overcome this issue as size of the part printed could be adapted as wished. And last but not least, bracelet can be customized, by adding the clients’ initial for instance, or a sentence, without triggering an additional production step such as gravering, but by integrating the customization directly on the STL file.
